What are your thermal and hyperthermal waters?
Thermal Valley has selected the best thermal and hyperthermal waters from Italy, each possessing specific properties that enhance the formulas we create. Each thermal water source is carefully chosen for its unique characteristics, whether it’s beneficial minerals for the skin, soothing properties, or healing virtues.
- Hyperthermal saline-bromo-iodine water

What are your development and manufacturing timelines for cosmetic formulations?
Our timelines depend on several factors:
- Formula and claims: it is crucial to know if the client has a clear idea of the desired formula and claims. If needed, our R&D department is available to assist and suggest ingredients that align with your concept.
- Response time: the timeline also depends on your response time after receiving the initial pilot samples of your formula for testing. If the sample is approved on the first try, the process will be quicker. If adjustments are required, it may extend the timeline.
- Packaging and design: the timeline also depends on the specificity of the client’s packaging requirements. If you have a precise idea of the desired packaging, we can work directly with those specifications. If we need to source different packaging options from our suppliers, it will take a bit longer. Additionally, the time required for artwork design, which is essential for sending files to the printer, should also be considered.
Once the formula is developed and stability tests are validated, the manufacturing lead time is generally around 6 to 8 weeks.
What is the cost of a cosmetic formula?
This is a common question. Typically, during the initial brainstorming phase between the client and our R&D department, we ask if the client has a target price for the final formula or an idea of the desired price for the finished product.
The cost of a cosmetic formula is closely linked to the percentage of each ingredient used. Our R&D department can adjust the formulation during the development phase to meet the client’s budget constraints, always in line with the client’s needs.
Do you have ready-to-market formulas for a faster launch?
Yes, we have a large catalogue of over 1,500 cosmetic formulas, suitable for both face and body. Our offerings include serums, creams, toning lotions, hydrating milks, cleansing gels, clay masks, scrubs, makeup removers, and thermal water sprays. These formulas cover a wide range of benefits, such as anti-aging, hydration, brightening, wrinkle-reducing, lifting, soothing, purifying, and slimming. We also provide medical device formulas for nasal hygiene, muscle and joint treatment, and intimate care.
In this case, the manufacturing lead time is reduced, as the formulas do not require further development. This guarantees that you will be selecting from tested and proven formulas with demonstrated efficacy and consumer satisfaction.
Do you develop formulas for all skin types?
Yes, we develop formulas tailored to all skin types. While every skin is unique with specific needs, we generally categorise skin into four main types: normal, dry, oily, and combination. We also address skin with imperfections such as blemishes, blackheads, comedones, redness, and irregularities, as well as sensitive and atopic skin.
- Sensitive skin: this type may experience redness, itching, burning, or a feeling of tightness.
- Atopic skin: Includes conditions like eczema or atopic dermatitis, characterised by excessive dryness, itching, redness, and erythematous or scaly lesions.
Thanks to our extensive client base in Europe and worldwide, we are adept at developing formulas suited to the specific needs of skin across different continents:
- Europe: we mainly develop formulas for dry and sensitive skin, combination skin, and oily skin prone to imperfections.
- North America: we focus on dry and sensitive skin, as well as combination to oily skin.
- Latin America: we offer formulas for oily skin prone to imperfections, and for normal to dry skin.
- Africa: we develop formulas for oily skin and normal to dry skin.

We are committed to offering customised solutions to meet the diverse needs of each skin type, considering geographical and climatic specifics.
